Kat Green is an award winning British portrait and documentary photographer. Originally from London, she now lives on the coast in Margate with her family.

Kat strives to create honest portraits that go beyond the surface to reveal how people choose to be seen. Whether working independently or in partnership with communities and creatives, Kat brings an empathetic and curious eye to every project. Her practice spans long-term documentary work and intimate portraits, with exhibitions across the UK and Europe

Most recently, she was awarded second place in the Single Image Portrait category by Lens Culture in 2025, and her series For Now and For Later was featured in the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize and on It’s Nice That.
